[Log - Who's there?]
Angelo closed his eyes and concentrated as the magic bloomed and wove it's way from his concentration into reality. His bookshelves often became damaged by the heavy volumes containing memories of nightmares which had habit of sinking into the wood. Library maintenance was not his favourite thing, in fact it was exasperating and exhausting both but that was the last of it over with. He sighed as the cool breeze from the night outdoors blew in through the window and tussled his hair and blew out several of his candles. It felt like somebody was in the room along with that breeze but the Memory Keeper didn't look around. He was calmer these days about intruders, being that it was usually the Reaper. A small smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.

Charon leant back on his heels, rocking back and forth and grinning again. "Besides, Renai said she liked it."

"I might be a liar, but think about my niece for a moment there, big brother." Charon rubbed his thumb along the sculpted stubble on his chin with a knowing glint in his eyes.
Charon had no need to lie about that fact, Renai always told everyone that what they were doing was 'nice' and that she 'liked it' - although she might have added to him that he was silly too.

Honestly, Charon's laugh got more and more dirty every time Angelo heard it.
"If you don't take care of that garden I'm going to have to go over there and sort it out for you. End of discussion."
Perhaps he'd even organise a 'tamed' Kudzu patch as a surprise. With a nice deep wall around the roots.

He clicked his heels against the bookcase and then grinned. "Speaking of art, what are you doing? When you redecorate a room is supposed to look totally different."

Pout.

"Besides, I'm old fashioned. I like to be old fashioned. Especially if keeping with the times would make me end up looking like you brother, the proud ownder of the tittle 'most odd looking young man in my acquaintance.'"

He paused just slightly, reminding himself this was the side of the family that didn't care for 'forgetting' "-forgo inviting you back to my awesome new house to watch The Simpsons, right? I mean, you'd just be distracted by my amazing fashion sense."

He shook his head.
"Nonsense, because I'm better than you."

"I'm still stronger than you though."
Then there was a pause, while Angelo's playfulness grew and his want to take this further piped up in his chest like a swelling fruit.
"Want me to prove it?"

Then a childlike glee took over his whole face, his turquoise eyes shining as a grin took over. He backed himself up, spreading his legs into a fighting stance.
"Come at me, bro!"
no subject
"Very well, you go first." He flicked his eyebrows and smirked in amusement.

This being his brother, Charon felt no need to ask if there were rules in this sparring match. Clearly it was going to be no-holds barred. Weapon and magic both involved - only fair really since they were in Angelo's domain, and since Charon himself was so utterly awesome.
He gripped the chain of his weapon across both hands, starting to spin it and gather speed with the spiked ball at the end. Then, without warning, he dropped the chain with one hand - still spinning it with the other - sending out a sparking ball of light towards Angelo.

"Just warming up?" He asked, bringing the scythe spin to an end and smirking. "I think you can do better than that."

He finished spinning his morning-star, flicking the spiked ball out and towards his brother. At the same time he gathered more energy, flicking it out and towards his brother's legs.
"Got to go easy on old guys like you, right?"

He wrenched his ball free with his hand, grinning still. "I thought you were tryin to fix this place up, not wreck it."
